Plants, plants, and more plants will be available at the 2022 Paulding County Master Gardener Volunteer (MGV) plant event on Friday, May 13th, 2022, from 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM and Saturday, May 14th from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The event will take place at the Paulding County fairgrounds inside the Block Building at 503 Fairground Drive, Paulding, OH 45879.
Plants available will include perennials, annual flowers, herbs, house plants, succulents, vegetables, trees, and shrubs. The proceeds will go back into the community Master Gardener Volunteer projects and programs. Past projects include trees for Divine Mercy School, hydroponics program support for Antwerp Schools, benches for the Black Swamp Nature Center, trees at Oakwood Park and Payne Park, downtown pots for Oakwood Village, watering bags for trees in community projects, planting the succulent bed at the Reservoir Park, assisting with the landscaping at the Habitat for Humanity projects, plants for the fairgrounds and 4-H club projects, plants for Flatrock Creek Fall Festival, assisting the Friends of the Paulding Park Board with projects, the native garden at the Black Swamp Nature Center, downtown Antwerp Village flowerpots, Fort Brown maintenance and care of plants, and MGV memorial garden at the fairgrounds.
“Volunteering is a great way to give back to our Paulding County community,” stated the Master Gardener Volunteers, “without this sale, our program would not have funds to develop projects within our county.”
During the event, the Master Gardener Volunteers will be on hand to answer horticulture and gardening questions. Factsheets and general plant brochures will be available for free. Special items are available to youth, under the age of 10, free with a purchase. Bring a child or a friend to experience this great community event. Finally, come early for the best selection of our plants for sale.
