Abbie Stoller, a senior at Wayne Trace High School, recently received a $500 scholarship from MY102.7 FM. The radio station awards one scholarship per graduating class at each of Paulding County’s three high schools and Vantage Career Center. Stoller plans to use the scholarship at the University of Toledo, where she will study nursing.
“One of the main goals with this station has always been to give back to the community,” said Joe Barker, station manager at MY102.7. “Investing in our local youth just makes sense, especially when we can support them as they pursue higher education and career training. It’s one small way we can help build the future workforce in northwest Ohio.”
Based in Paulding, MY102.7 can be heard on the air throughout Paulding County and online from anywhere with an internet connection through my1027.org. The station has been on the air since 2015, and its mission is to showcase why Paulding County is a great place to work, live and raise a family.
