Sandy Dobbelaere, Class of 1977, was inducted into the Paulding Academic Hall of Fame on Sunday, May 22 during the PHS Graduation Ceremony. Sandy recently retired from Paulding Schools after teaching High School Art for 27 years where she was well known for her many artistic talents including making anything out of cardboard! Her murals can be seen in and around the school and in the communities of Paulding, Oakwood and Scott.
Missing from the picture is Dr. Barbara Proxmire Lassiter, Class of 1960, who was unable to attend. Barbara worked in Emergency/Trauma for five years and brought the Paramedic Program to upstate South Carolina. She became Director of Corporate Occupational Health Programs at Springs Industries, Director of CE Health Sciences and Nursing Programs at Greenville Technical College and funded and dedicated the Dr. Barbara Lassiter STAT Training Center at the college.
Congratulations to these two former PHS graduates!
