At the annual meeting of Financial Partners Federal Credit on May 12, 2022, outgoing board members Jim Goeglein and Fred Pieper were honored with their over 50 years of combined serve as Directors of the Credit Union.
James C. “Jim” Goeglein started in the mid 1980’s on the credit committee of the BFG Employees – Woodburn FCU. It is now the ALCO (Asset and Liability Committee) and he has served on that committee with Fred for 10+ years. He then helped oversee a name change to Financial Partners Federal Credit Union in 1993. Jim also served on the Supervisory Committee and later on the Board of Directors. During his 30+ years of service on the Board, he was the Vice Chairman and the current outing-going Chairman since 2005. Jim says it is, “time for others to step into a leadership role. I really enjoyed my time on the board getting to know the many different people that have served with me over the years. I have also enjoyed working with the many different staff members over the years. They have always had the members’ best interests at heart.”
Jim will be spending more time with his wife, Carol, and doing more camping with friends. They will be spending more time with family and currently are volunteers at the Embassy Theatre. They live in Woodburn.
Fred Pieper has been on the Board of Directors since 1992. He fondly remembers the building of the office in Woodburn right after he began. The contractors moved the white two-story house to another location in Woodburn (where is still stands) and erected the current structure that went through a renovation in 2014. Fred has served as the Chairman and is the current out-going treasurer. Like Jim, he just felt the time was right to allow others to assume leadership roles with the Board of Directors. “It has been a long ride, but now is the time for me to hang it up and let others serve as the leaders.” Fred is a past Paulding County Trustee and He resides in Paulding, Ohio with his wife, Susan.
