It was a busy week for Woodlan High School Cross Country. Started out with Tuesday (8/16) at the North Side Legends Classic held at Franke Park with 7 teams. Woodlan ladies were runners up with Cara Chen leading the Warriors with a time of 24:26 coming in 7th place. Grace Martin finished 15th with time of 25:22, Bethany Lockridge finished 18th with time of 27:13, Riley Zent finished 21st with time of 27:30, Lucy Arbogast finished 22nd with time of 27:42, Morgan Miller finished 24th with time of 27:50 and Alexis Smith finished 25th with a time of 27:55. The Men’s team were Champions of the Legends Classic with Carter Hohenbrink leading the team with a 3rd place finish with a time of 18:35. Brady Garrison finished 7th with a time of 19:36, Nate Lockridge finished 8th with a time of 19:53, Ryan Hubbart finished 12th with a time of 20:54, Jonathan Baxter finished 23rd with a time of 21:56, Cooper McDaniel finished 25th with a time of 22:30, Caleb Palmer finished 33rd with a time of 23:52, and CJ Handerson finished 36th with a time of 25:19.
Saturday (8/20) Woodlan competed in the Bill Walker XC Invite hosted by South Side. Both the Ladies Warriors and the Men Warriors came out Champions! The lady Warriors were led by freshman Katy Niles winning the Invite with a time of 21:08, followed by Mae Emenhiser in 3rd place with a time of 22:10. Next was Cara Chen in 5th place with a time of 23:08, then Grace Martin in 14th place with a time of 24:51, then Addie Goheen in 20th with a time of 26:14, then Riley Zent in 21st with a time of 26:20 and Bethany Lockridge in 22nd with a time of 26:25. The men Warriors again were led by senior Carter Hohenbrink finishing 3rd with a time of 18:20 followed by senior Nate Lockridge in 7th place with a time of 18:52. Brady Garrison came in 11th place with a time of 19:28, Collin Klepper in 14th place with a time of 20:09, Ryan Hubbart in 17th place with a time of 20:47, Cooper McDaniel in 26th with a time of 21:54 and Jonathan Baxter in 29th with a time of 21:18.
