This year at the Defiance County Fair there were many things that the Fairview FFA Chapter not only participated in but also greatly succeeded in. The members got to compete in the Ag Olympics with the Tinora and Ayersville FFA chapters. After completing the two parts of the Ag Olympics the Fariview FFA came out on top and won 1st place. The chapter also helped work the Barn and Grill food stand on Monday of the fair.
Carrie Zeedyk and Kennedy Hill got to represent the chapter through the fair week by being a part of the Royalty Court. Carrie Zeedyk is the Fair Queen and Kennedy Hill is an attendant.
Many of the chapter members participated in livestock shows throughout the week. Many of the members did very well in their shows and exhibited many champions. Auryn Viers had many champions with her horse and was very successful. She even got to compete in the Showman of Showman event later in the week. Blake Zeedyk also did very well in the Poultry show, and got to compete in the Showman of Showman event.
There were also many other champions and successful members in the other shows. Overall, the Fairview FFA Chapter was represented very well by its members at the Defiance County Fair.
Fairview FFA had a hand full of members that got to be on the Defiance County Royalty Court this year. Kennedy Hill was an attendant on the court and Carrie Zeedyk represented Fairview FFA very well as the 2022 Defiance County Fair Queen. These two were crowned on Saturday morning at the beginning of the week, where Kaitlyn Zeedyk gave her outgoing speech as last year’s Fair Queen. The Royalty Court was very involved during the week by doing things like Coloring with the Court, helping with shows and other events through the week. Carrie and Kennedy did very well not only being good models for the chapter but also for the Defiance County Fair in general.
