PAULDING – Corey Everetts threw for 131 yards and ran for 92 more as the Edgerton Bulldogs recorded a 48-0 victory over Paulding in Green Meadows Conference football action at Keysor Field Friday evening.
Everetts ran for a pair of scores and threw for two others to lead the Williams County squad to the win. Edgerton improves to 5-1 in all games and 1-1 in the league.
Warren Nichols added a touchdown run for the Bulldogs with Kadyn Picillo and Riley Kollar both hauling in touchdown receptions as well.
Scottie Krontz also had a pair of runs for scores for Edgerton.
Caleb Larson had five receptions for 69 yards to top Paulding with Dawson Lamb running for 40 yards over 11 carries.
Edgerton led 14-0 at the end of one period before the Bulldogs scored 18 points in the second stanza, extending the margin to 32-0 at the intermission.
The Williams County squad scored eight points in both the third and fourth quarters to wrap up the 48-0 victory.
Paulding, which is currently tied for 22nd in the OHSAA Division VI, Region 22 playoff chase, will make the trip to Hicksville (0-6 overall, 0-3 GMC) on Friday.
In Division VII, Region 26, Edgerton currently stands seventh in the playoff race with a road trip to Fairview (0-6 overall, 0-3 GMC) on the agenda for Friday.
