On September 7th the Antwerp Police Department received an alarm from a business on Buffalo St. The officer responded and found employees inside the business.
On September 7th an officer was requested to be present at the Antwerp Ball Field. The caller was concerned there could be confrontation in reference to a child custody issue. The officer responded and there was no issue.
On September 9th Antwerp Police Department was contacted by the Antwerp School Resource Officer in reference to an individual running the stop bar of a stopped school bus. The officer investigated the case and cited the individual into the Antwerp Mayor’s Court.
On September 9th the manager of Dollar General contacted the police department in reference to an individual that was there and possibly attempted to steal items from the store. The manager of Dollar General just wanted a report made in case there was a future incident
On September 9th while patrolling an officer saw an individual at a residence in the 400 block of W. River St. that had an outstanding warrant. The officer pulled into the location and arrested the individual.
On September 9th an officer was contacted in reference to a stray dog. The officer located an older tag on the stray dog and was able to locate the owner of the dog.
On September 11th the Antwerp Police Department was contacted by an individual who was concerned that a former foster child had not been registered in school yet. The officer contacted the Antwerp School Resource Officer and was able to determine that the student had been enrolled.
On September 11th a resident called and reported that there was man that appeared to be intoxicated walking across the tracks on Stone St. The caller reported that the man had fell and was sitting on the ground. The officer went to the location and located Antwerp’s ‘Otis’. The officer assisted him to his feet and then assisted him home safely.
On September 11th an officer assisted the Antwerp EMS at a residence in the village
On September 12th the police department was contacted by a local business in reference to identifying a customer that had been in the business earlier. The police department assisted in identifying that individual
On September 16th a resident of Shaffer Rd reported that his friend had been missing for a few days and requested the police department’s assistance. The friend was located living at the Paulding County Jail.
On September 16th a resident of Erie St. reported loud music from a residence on Buffalo St. The officer went to the location and requested that the individual keep the music turned down.
On September 17th a resident of Paulding called and reported there was a reckless driver on CR 144. The caller reported they believed the vehicle was going to be entering Antwerp. The officer sat stationary at the south edge of the village and did not locate any reckless drivers.
On September 17th at 1:00 a.m. found an unlocked door at a downtown business.
On September 17th there was a suspicious person and a suspicious vehicle reported in the 100 block of S. Main
On September 18th at 1:05 a.m. a resident of Stone St. called and reported there was loud music coming from another residence on Stone St. The officer responded, spoke to the suspect and then also cited the suspect into the Antwerp mayor’s court as this was not the first incident.
On September 18th the Antwerp Police Department was contacted by a man who had not heard from his son in a few months and was concerned. His son use to live in Antwerp and the father was checking to see if the police department had any incidents involving his son.
On September 18th a resident of Washington St called the police department in reference to what she thought was the smell of gasoline around her home. The officer responded and assisted her in making sure that her home was safe.
