September has been an eventful month for us. We celebrated three resident birthdays and one 72nd wedding anniversary. Pictured are Ray and Grace Gross sipping their anniversary surprise. They were served homemade strawberry milkshakes complete with whipped cream and a fresh strawberry on top. Their shakes were served in 1950’s soda glasses that were then given to them as a gift. Congratulations to Ray and Grace for 72 years of marriage.
National Assisted Living Week was another September event. We began the week with special music provided by singer and piano player Alan Schaffer. Alan is always entertaining. Our very first ‘Game Night” was held that week and we had a great time. Residents were either playing Euchre, Dominoes, or Uno and treating themselves to some early Halloween chocolates. We all stayed up a little later that night!
The residents and staff want to send a huge shout out to the Wayne Trace Marching Band for taking time out of their schedule to play for us. The weather was beautiful and the music was enjoyable. We appreciate their visit each fall.
