Jury selection took place today, October 18, 2022 for the case of State of Ohio VS Heidi L. Grant, who is charged with the murder of her husband, Christopher Franklin.
Ms. Grant was present in court with her attorneys, William Kluge and Robert Grzybowski. Prosecutor Joseph Burkard was present for the state along with Assistant Prosecutor Matthew Miller and Antwerp Police Chief George Clemens.
Twelve individuals were seated to begin selection, six of which were dismissed. Then fill-in placement selection began and two were dismissed immediately.
Next, selection for an alternate juror began and the state dismissed the first one.
After almost two hours, twelve jurors and an alternate were selected.
Court will resume October 19, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. for opening statements and to begin presentation of evidence.
