On Wednesday October 26th, the Payne Elementary participated in their annual Halloween parade.
All the students were invited to dress up in their Halloween costume and walk around the Village of Payne. Escorted by the Payne Police Chief Rodney Miller, Payne Volunteer Fire and EMS, the students and staff were lead through the village to show off their ingenuity.
This year the newly hired elementary principal, Mr. Evans, and the staff decided to get creative and opted to go as Cruella Deville from the 101 Dalmatians movie.
The parade was followed by Wayne Trace Local School’s Resource Officer, Bill Lyons, who played Halloween music over his speaker.
Everyone held an impromptu dance party in the parking lot while waiting to go inside to continue their festivities.
The students, staff and the village residents thoroughly enjoyed this event and look forward to it every year.
