Last Sunday, December 11th, The Holly Beach splash pad committee hosted their Polar Express event, and it was a magical experience for everyone involved.
Children of all ages came together to enjoy Christmas fun while raising funds for Antwerp’s very own splash pad. Grant’s Catering generously donated their venue!
We are so thankful for our Antwerp branch library, friends of the library, and Miss Steph for reading the Polar Express and providing crafts to the children. Local businesses/patrons such as Petals & Vines, Pin-a-Rama, Lisa Bragg, Bunco Babes, Judy Sawyer, Al Manella (Hicksville Subway), and Memories by Tawnya all donated items to make this event special.
This helped the committee raise an additional $2,000 for the Holly Beach splash pad. We hope the families, especially the children of this community, realize what a major role they have played in helping fund this wonderful project!
