LEVEL 2 ROAD ADVISORY
Paulding County Sheriff Jason K. Landers has issued a Level 2 Road Advisory for Paulding County. This advisory means roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow, and most roadways could be icy.
Only those individuals who feel it is necessary to travel should be on the roadways.
Sheriff Landers urges folks to use caution and common sense in deciding if travel is necessary. Level 2 does not close the roadways to travel, but it is an advisory against unnecessary travel.
“The vast majority of our roads are open and passible. At this time, it is the north/south roads that are our biggest problem. There is not a lot of snow accumulation, but the wind is causing whiteout conditions. State, county and local crews are out doing the best they can to knock down drifting, but they cannot control the wind,” said Sheriff Landers.
While the road conditions may look adequate in the villages and wind protected areas, they are more hazardous out in the county.
This Level 2 Road Advisory will be monitored throughout the day. As conditions can change, any change in advisory status will be sent to the local media and posted to our office social media pages.
