January 9-14, 2023, the center of the racing universe is Tulsa, and the 37th Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals for Midgets. Currently the Chili Bowl Nationals has 360 Entries, including 57 A-Feature starters, 82 Rookies, and 5 past Champions from 266 Municipalities across 35 States and 5 countries (USA, Aust., Can., NZ, UK).
Saturday, December 3, 2022, Oakshade Raceway officially crowned their season track champions. Congratulations to Late Model Champion Casey Noonan, Carter Murday Sportsman, Kolin Schilt Dominator Super Stocks, and Eric Carr Compacts.
Scott Menlen will take over the Series Director position for CRA and its four series including the ASA/CRA Super Series, JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour, CRA Late Model Sportsman, and the CRA Street Stocks. Scott, has been an official for CRA for 13 years both in a full-time and part-time position, has been the General Manager at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee for the past three years. He will continue to work with Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway during the 2023 season, helping develop staff members into a larger management role. Former CRA Managing Partner and most recently Series Director Glenn Luckett will remain with CRA in a consulting position and help with the transition of Menlen to Series Director over the 2023 season.
The 41st Year of the Longest running Super Late Model Series in the Country continues in 2023!! The Southern All Stars Super Late Model Series will compete in eight states with 26 events scheduled as of now. This will be one of the richest seasons in series history with bigger purses per event. The series has $700,000 in purse money for the season so far! There are still a few races left to be added and will be announced later.
Cherokee Speedway will kick off the season with the Prestigious Ginger Owens March Madness.
Die-hard Sprint car fans will soon make their way to the sunshine state. The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars return to action in a few weeks, for the first time in 2023 at Volusia Speedway Park for the Dirtcar Nationals!
