The Wayne Trace Raiders travelled to Antwerp for a tri-meet with Antwerp and Edgerton on February 16th. The Raiders swept the competition in the first dual meet against the Archers with a score of 35-12. Sam Moore started the scoring with six points for the team with his forfeiture win. Nate Osborn followed up with another six points, securing a pin over his opponent Landon Orozco. Arin James then worked to score a takedown into a pin over Cami McAlexander. To keep the momentum going, Corbin Kimmel wrestled Andre Byrd with a pin as well. Jared Pierce finished a quick 18 second pin over opponent Miles Doster. Graiden Troth was victorious with a tech fall of 17-2 over Griffin Kosch. For the last match for the Raiders, Connor Sensibaugh was defeated in a close match of 4-2 against John Bailey.
After winning the first dual, the Raiders prepared for the next set of match-ups. Sam Moore claimed victory in the first match with a score of 11-4 over his opponent. Nate Osborn was able to clinch another pin in his match. Arin James put six points on the Raiders board with a forfeiture win. Corbin Kimmel was able to follow that up with a quick pin as well. In a tough match that went to overtime, Jared Pierce experienced defeat with a score of 9-7. Graiden Troth was able to pin his opponent in his last match of the night and Connor Sensibaugh saw a win by forfeiture to score another six points for the Raiders. The Raiders won the dual with a score of 33-21.
