PAULDING, OH:
Jack R. Wiswell, age 69, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, IN.
Jack was born on October 21, 1953 in Paulding, OH to the late Loyde and Geraldine (Rosselet) Wiswell. On October 18, 1980, he married the love of his life, Angela Clark, who survives. For 38 years, Jack worked in the melting department at GM Powertrain – Defiance before his retirement in 2009. Jack loved to fish on Lake Erie, even earning the nickname, Captain Jack. He loved to build fishing rods, hunt, and being in the outdoors. He coached several sports at Paulding schools and also coached his sons in baseball and football. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his brother, Mike, after retirement.
Along with his loving wife, Angie, Jack is survived by his sons: Joe Wiswell, Paulding, OH: Matt Wiswell, Paulding, OH; Ben Wiswell, Paulding, OH; brothers: Michael (Jennifer) Wiswell, Paulding, OH; Tom Wiswell, Paulding, OH; Robert Wiswell, Cecil, OH; Fred Wiswell, Celina, OH; his two granddaughters, Ellie and Liah Wiswell, and his beloved cat, Tigger.
Jack is also preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Wiswell.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Paulding United Methodist Church with Pastor Brian Arnold officiating.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation from 10:00 A.M. until time of services on Friday at the church.
