March 2 – A resident reported a junk violation at a residence on Daggett. Police department issued a junk violation notice to the resident then checked residence 3 days later and found it cleaned up and in compliance.
March 4 – Antwerp Police Department was contacted in reference to a two year old child who possibly ingested an oxycodone pill. The officer responded and assisted until EMS could arrive.
March 4 – Antwerp Police Department was contacted in reference to an apartment fire at 511 N. Main. An officer responded and assisted in clearing out the apartment complex and stood by to assist fire and EMS.
March 6 – An officer was called to Canal St. for an adult female that had possibly overdosed. The officer arrived to find the individual not breathing. The officer administered CPR until EMS arrived.
March 6 – A resident contacted police in reference to light poles near Main and Woodcox that appeared not to be working. The police department contacted village administrator and AEP.
March 6 – A residence at Harrmann Rd, there was someone in a black pickup truck going to residents on Harrmann Rd and asking if they would like their driveway worked on. The incident was reported after the fact and the officer was unable to locate the truck.
March 7 – A resident of Daggett St. reported a silver Nissan car driving up and down the road that seemed to be speeding. An officer sat stationary, but did not see the car.
March 7 – An officer was requested near the train tracks on Main St. for an elderly man who had fallen along the tracks. An officer responded and determined the individual had no injuries but was intoxicated. The officer contacted a family member to come and take the man home.
March 9 – Antwerp Police Department assisted Antwerp EMS with a resident that had fallen and injured their head.
March 11 – A resident reported a group of juveniles standing along Erie St. and they would yell at people passing by in their vehicles, and few times they ran into the roadway. An officer responded, spoke with juveniles and told them not to do it anymore.
March 11 – An employee of Dollar General reported that someone who was told not to come in the store, but was in the store. The individual was gone when officer arrived. The case was investigated, a report was prepared for trespassing charges.
March 11 – An officer was called to a residence on Washington St. The homeowners stated they woke to find someone sleeping on their couch. The officer investigated and determined that the individual had gotten intoxicated and instead of driving, walked home but went to wrong the wrong house.
March 12 – a suspicious vehicle was reported on Maumee Lane. The description given was a black chevy pick up truck with extended cab. Officers responded but was unable to locate vehicle.
March 12 – Antwerp Police Department assisted with an escort of Antwerp’s wrestling state qualifier Eli Reinhart welcoming him back to the village from the tournament.
March 12 – Criminal damaging was reported on Daggett. It was apparent that rocks were thrown through windows of a home. An officer investigated and was able to locate two juveniles who were responsible. A report was prepared.
March 15 – Antwerp Police Department was contacted in reference to an individual suffering from mental illness. Officers responded and spoke with the individual and the individual agreed to go to the coping center in Defiance. The police department provided transportation there for the individual.
