Donald and Jeannine (Urban) Leckrone will celebrate the 60th anniversary of their wedding May 11, 2023. They were married May 11, 1963 at the Washington Boulevard Methodist Church in Oak Park, Illinois. The officiants were the Rev. James King and Donald Myer, a classmate of Donald’s at McCormick Theological Seminary. The church is long since shuttered and part of the sanctuary roof collapsed. Both King and Myer are deceased. Don and Jeannine’s marriage survives.
Over the course of those sixty years, they have lived in Illinois, Germany (for 1 year) and since 1967, in Ohio. They moved to Antwerp in 1992. Jeannine is a retired RN; Donald is an ordained Presbyterian minister who, for the past 20 years, has served mostly in Lutheran (ELCA) congregations.
