The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County is excited to announce that the Kiwanis playground at the Lela McGuire Jeffery Park is now open! A Ribbon Cutting was held on May 13th at 10:30am, to officially open the playground.
Kiwanis Club of Paulding County is the main financial sponsor of the playground and the driving force to make it happen, but we could not have done it without the financial donations of the following sponsors. Supporting sponsors: Paulding County Area Foundation, Cooper’s Farms, Paulding Eagles, Paulding VFW and Operation Round Up (Paulding Putnam Electric Cooperative) Large Brick Sponsors: Johnson, Gray, Hospital, BRSW, Josiah Stoller, NOCAC, Burtch, Reinhart, Midwest, Stahl, Carter, Haviland Drainage and Sinn. Small Brick Sponsors: First Financial, McClure, Koenig, Boss, Hunt, Searing, Stoller, Rassman, Recker, State Bank, Hands of Hope, Farr, Burtch, Edwards, Lyons, UWPC, Reinhard, Wiebe, and White.
We would also like to acknowledge Jason Vance, Village Administrator, and his team for the groundwork to make the playground possible; the Paulding Soccer Club for donating picnic tables, so parents have a place to sit and relax while their children play. We would like to especially thank Lora Lyons, Chairwoman of the Kiwanis Playground Committee, without Lora’s dedication the park would just be a great idea!
The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County invites everyone to visit the Lela McGuire Park and enjoy the Kiwanis playground.
