Antwerp Community Development Committee decided in early 2023 that it was time to bring back a village tradition that has set by the wayside for many years — Antwerp Days. A weekend fair for the entire area complete with a breakfast sponsored by the EMS, a parade with over 30 entries, Gem of the Year award, Turtle Races, Hot Wheels Races, Hot Dog Eating contest, Washer Tournament, live music, merchant tents, a silent auction, bouncy houses, good food and fellowship. Many organizations participated in this re-inaugural year of Antwerp Days along with ACDC including Antwerp Rotary, Antwerp Boy and Girl Scouts, Antwerp 1st Presbyterian Church, Mt. Calvary Church, Antwerp Chamber of Commerce, as well as many private vendors selling tasty foods and hand-crafted goods.
The live music from Atticus Sorrell, Zach Tyler Stephens Band, Austin Bowers, Drew Munger and Lee Warren Band was great on Friday night as well as all day on Saturday and ending the evening’s festivities.
