The Christmas Cruise Thru has been working extremely hard to save money over the past 11 years in a contingent account in case the organization needs to replace their equipment at a last minute notice. However, it became clear to the board that the Hicksville Splash Pad has an urgent need to generate funds so that the children and families in our area can have a beautiful, fun, safe place to cool off next summer. “It’s extremely important for everyone to dig deep and give what they can”, said founder Denise Sutter. “The public has donated generously to the Cruise Thru, so we feel confident that they will not let us down in rebuilding our contingency fund.” The Christmas Cruise Thru and the Splash Pad have the same mission and rely on the communities’ help to succeed. Families have been making precious life-long memories and traditions since 2013 by attending The Christmas Cruise Thru, and the splash pad will have the same impact on families. We need to act NOW! The Christmas Cruise Thru Board would like to challenge all non-profit organizations, businesses and individuals to do their part to assist in this project. Calling on all non-profit organizations in Hicksville and surrounding areas: Do you sit on or volunteer for a board/organization? Ask how they are doing their part to help. Let’s get this project done.” said The Christmas Cruise Thru Board Members.
