Tuesday, August 29, the cross country teams contested a meet in Edon with Holgate, Hilltop, and Edgerton also in attendance.
In junior high girls action, the lady archers were unable to score as a team but were led by 1st place finisher Alia Clem, followed closely Gianna Laker, Anneliese Zijlstra, and Aleta Sorrell.
The junior high boys had a great race, and finished second as a team. They were led by 4th place finisher Gage Barker, followed closely by Bryceton Barker, Tucker Doster, Isaac Buehrer, and Camden Herber.
The Varsity Boys were up next and finished 2nd as a team. They were led by race winner Kamren Johnson, Alex Zijlstra, John Bailey, Aiden Hook, and Connar Shiple.
The Varsity Girls rounded out the meet in downpour, but the weather did not deter them as they brought home their first team win of the season! The lady archers placed 7 runners in the top 10. They were led by 2nd place finisher Leigha Doster, followed by Reese Durbin, Gabriella Snyder, Emily Laker, Lyla Clem, Taylor Steibling, Emma Saul, and Jen Lawhorn.
