HICKSVILLE – Carson Altimus threw for 255 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Antwerp Archers to a 39-6 win over Hicksville in Green Meadows Conference football action Friday night.
Altimus tossed touchdown passes to Camden Fuller, Jaxon Jones and Kayden Winslow as Antwerp totaled 263 passing yards and 434 yards of total offense overall.
Fuller recorded five catches on the night for 155 yards, including scoring strikes of six, 57 and a dozen yards. Winslow hauled in a 32-yard touchdown pass while Jones hauled in a seven-yard touchdown pass, finishing the night with four receptions for 59 yards.
Reid Lichty ran for 127 yards on the ground for Antwerp, including a 16-yard scamper for a score. Lichty totaled three receptions for 25 yards to aid the Archer cause as well.
Altimus posted 20 rushing yards and Gage Clevinger had 14 yards.
Hicksville ended the contest with seven first downs and 115 yards in total offense, including 68 yards on the ground. Antwerp recorded 20 first downs in the contest.
George Green paced the Aces with 65 rushing yards in the contest.
Antwerp returns to action on Friday with a key Green Meadows Conference contest against visiting Tinora. The green and white will visit Archer Field with a record of 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the league after defeating Fairview 42-14.
Hicksville also will make the trip into Paulding County on Friday as Wayne Trace hosts the Aces, who are now 1-3 in all games and 0-1 in the league. The Raiders are 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in the conference following a 42-6 victory over Edgerton Friday.
