Defiance County Commissioners recognize Baldwin Family

Proclamation

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Defiance County, Ohio, desires to formally recognize residents of Defiance County who exemplify traits of leadership, citizenship and individual achievement: and

WHEREAS, Daniel Ray Baldwin, a lifetime resident of Defiance County, has not only proved himself by virtue of exemplary commitment as a husband, father, and grandfather, but also as a decorated veteran of Vietnam; and

WHEREAS, he and his wife, Marcia, raised five children, Bryan, Brandon Benjamin, Stephen, and April, who are all productive members of our community; and

WHEREAS, Daniel proudly served our country in the U.S. Army as a Medic during the Vietnam War; served as a Medical Specialist (Corpsman) during the Vietnam War March 1966 – June 1967 discharged as a Specialist 5th Class (Technical); and awarded many military honors and decorations including Silver Star Medal, Bronze Star, and the Combat Medial Badge; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DECLARED, that the Board of Commissioners, Defiance County, Ohio, is pleased to recognize Daniel’s loyal and dedicated service to his country, family and community and wished to offer their heartfelt sympathies. Daniel lived a beautiful life and will be missed by many.

THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that it is found and determined that all formal actions of this Board relating and concerning the adoption of this Proclamation were so adopted in an open meeting of this Board and that all deliberations of this Board and any of its committees that resulted in such formal actions were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements, including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code
