St. Jacob’s Church will celebrate 150 years of ministry to the community on Sunday, October 22, 2023 with a special 150th Anniversary and Homecoming. The service will begin at 10:00 A.M. and feature the inspirational music and ministry of Randy Long.
In addition to traditional church services and ministry, St. Jacob’s operated a full service food stand at the Paulding County Fair for more than 25 years, and now, has launched St. Jacob’s Closet, which is an outreach ministry, providing clothing and other items for people in need due to fire or natural disasters. The church has also supported Relay for Life and hosts an Election Day Soup and Sandwich Luncheon.
Church officials say that all are welcome to come and commemorate this milestone. A coffee and cake reception and fellowship hour will immediately follow the morning’s service. St. Jacob’s Church is located at the corner of Oak Street and Hyman Street in Payne.
