First Financial Bank (Nasdaq: FFBC) provided a $1,290 donation to the Paulding Exempted Character Academy on behalf of Cooper Farms. The donation is part of the First Financial WORKlife program at Cooper Farms. Companies who participate in the WORKlife program receive a special checking cash bonus, product discounts for their employees and a donation to the non-profit of their choice.
“At First Financial Bank, we exist to be a positive influence to help our clients and communities thrive, and this donation and our incredible relationship with Cooper Farms is exciting proof of how our approach improves people’s lives in real and dramatic ways,” said Brad Harsha, financial wellness specialist for First Financial Bank.
The First Financial WORKlife program provides financial wellness benefits to employees or members of businesses to help deliver a work/life balance and feel more secure in their financial lives. At Cooper Farms, employees have the opportunity to participate in financial education classes offered by First Financial associates on site at their place of employment. First Financial associates are also available to work on site with Cooper Farms employees on mortgages, auto loans, personal loans, wealth planning and other financial services that would typically require a visit to the bank.
Many employees who had previously been unbanked choose to open a bank account for the first time through the WORKlife program, which allows them to enter the financial system and avoid costly services such as payday loans, paycards and check cashing. Bank accounts also make it easier for clients to pay bills, establish a credit history and buy a house, all keys to a better quality of life. For each account opened through the WORKlife program, First Financial makes a donation to a local charity of the employer’s choosing.
WORKlife is offered at no cost to an employer or organization.
