40th ANNIVERSARY OF ORGANIZING DAR CHAPTER

The General Horatio N. Curtis Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution was organized 40 years ago in Paulding Co. Ohio. It was Ohio’s first Bicentennial chapter organized during that time; the national # of this OSDAR Society is #4-130-OH. (It was org. in Paulding; the chapter address was Antwerp, OH).

This chapter was organized by Organizing Regent, Mrs. John K. Longardner of Antwerp, Ohio on October 17, 1975 at Johnson’s  Restaurant, Paulding, Ohio. The Chapter charter hangs in the Paulding Co. Carnegie Library.  The information on the charter is as shown following:

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution

Whereas: Certain approved members of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution under the authorization of the National Board of Management on the 17th day of October in 1975, did organize a chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in the city of Antwerp, State of Ohio, to be known as the General Horatio N. Curtis Chapter and,

Whereas: The following officers of said Chapter have been selected to wit:
