PAULDING, OH:
R. David “Dave” Stouffer, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at his home in Paulding, OH.
Dave was born on February 19, 1936 in Paulding County, OH to the late J. Russell and Alice (Wiedman) Stouffer. On November 19, 1966 he married Dianne E. Heller, who preceded him in death on May 10, 2011. Dave served his country in the US Army National Guard. Dave was a life long self-employed farmer. He was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Paulding and a lifetime member of the John Paulding Historical Society. Dave was also a member of the Flat Rock Creek Gas and Steam Tractor Association, the Cedar Creek Tractor Club, Auglaize Village Tractor Club, Farm Power Tractor Club, Black Swamp Tractor Club, and the Maumee Valley Tractor Club.
Dave is survived by his children: Neal (Kelly) Stouffer, Payne OH; Jill Engle, Weston, OH; sisters: Jane Stouffer, Paulding, OH; Louise (Doyle) Johnson, Paulding, OH; grandchildren: Jordan (Morgan) Engle, Morgan (Ryan Blaser) Engle, Matthew Stouffer, Jacob Stouffer, Luke Stouffer, Emma Stouffer; great grandchildren: Emmarie Engle, William Engle, and Carter Blaser.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Paulding. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Jackson Township, OH with military rites accorded by the Paulding V.F.W. Post 587.
Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M – 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Den Herder Funeral Home. There will also be visitation from 10:00 A.M. until time of services on Friday at the church.
