A newly renovated two-floor event space in Sherwood — held its Ribbon Cutting and Open House on Thursday, Feb. 22. The event also doubled as Sherwood Area Economic Development’s Annual Meeting, where area businesses, CEOs, historians, elected officials, and local residents gathered to hear village updates and officer elections.
This modernized yet elegant building is ideal for parties, showers, reunions, meetings, or gatherings of up to 50 guests. The first-floor gathering space — fully equipped with a kitchen, bar, HD TVs, and bathroom — comes with tables and chairs. The second floor — complete with a compact kitchen, bathroom and shower, dining room, and flex space with vanity and seating — rents separately with a bedroom for overnight stays.
This venue is a sister space to Crystal Fountain Park and can also be rented in conjunction with weddings for bridal prep, groom’s quarters, and a honeymoon suite.
Guests will notice a historic, elegant charm throughout the space, including the original tin ceiling and brick from when the building opened in 1910. Over the past century, East Vine (formerly known as the Fraker building) in downtown Sherwood has been home to:
• Horse-drawn carriage & piano store
• Harness and saddle repair
• Sherwood Schoolhouse
• Bowling alley
• Hackman’s Bakery
• Chevrolet & International Dealer … And more!
Regardless of your event, owners Levi, Kelsey, Luke, and Samantha Kuhn are ready to help guests make memories, celebrate big occasions, and conduct business in style!
