Tucker Antoine tossed a complete-game on the mound and posted three hits while driving in four runs at the plate to lead the Wayne Trace Raiders to a 12-1 non-league baseball victory Friday night in Putnam County.
Antoine finished with two singles and a double on the night at the plate, scoring once and adding four runs batted in. On the mound, the Raider senior pitched the five-inning complete-game giving up just four hits, one unearned run and two walks while striking out three.
Fellow senior Tyler Head also had a big night for the red, white and blue, posting a single and a double while scoring three times and driving in two runs.
Wayne Trace opened a 3-0 lead in the second inning before Kalida picked up a single run in the home half of the third.
The Raiders then broke the game open with a three-run fourth to extend the margin to 6-1 before sealing the contest with a six-run fifth.
Kyle Forrer had two singles and scored twice for Wayne Trace with Breven Anderson singling once and driving in two runs. Cooper Wenzlick finished with a double and a run batted in for the red, white and blue while Carter Clemens scored once and singled once.
Tyson Gerber touched home plate twice and singled once while Tanner Laukhuf scored twice and drove in one run.
Braylon Smith, Jacob Siebeneck and Jack Stechschulte all had one single for Kalida with Adam Bockrath doubling and scoring the lone Wildcat run.
Ethan Wehri gave up eight hits, six runs (five earned) and one walk with one strikeout in four innings on the mound for Kalida.
