Recently, Central Local Schools Fairview’s 8th grade baseball team joined forces with the Easter Bunny and Tommy Moose to help make our Defiance Community Easter Egg Hunt a huge success.
The team unloaded bounce houses, set out 1,500 eggs, and distributed 150 bags of candy for the children who attended the Easter egg hunt. In return for spending their morning on this community service project, the Defiance Moose Lodge #2094 granted the team $1,500, through the Defiance Area Foundation. This grant will ensure the team has safe and updated equipment, as well as to defray the cost of player fees.
