Cindy Wolf of the Heritage Lions Awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship

Submitted by Rick Boys Secretary, Heritage Lions

Lions Clubs International recognizes outstanding individuals by bestowing on them an award that is named for its founder, Melvin Jones. This Fellowship Award is the highest form of recognition and embodies humanitarian ideas consistent with the nature and purpose of Lionism. The recipient of this award becomes a model because of the exemplary service to his or her club and the community for which it serves.

Ms. Wolf also received the LCIF International Leadership Medal from District Governor Marker last night. This award is the 3rd highest award from LCI (Lions Clubs International), and is awarded to those Lions who have made a significant leadership contribution during the International President’s year in office. The LCIF Presidential Award medal celebrates leaders who have made an extraordinary impact on the communities they serve as their dedication and achievements inspire others to follow in their footsteps and make a difference.

Lion Cindy Wolf has chaired many key Heritage Lions projects including the popular multi-event ice cream trailer, Christmas bags for shut-ins, Energized by Ebony, and donations for Charis House. She has worked on the children’s Christmas Party at the HAAA Pavilion, is membership coordinator for the HAAA, and is a member of the local annual “Walk to End Alzheimer’s”. Cindy’s leadership has helped the Heritage Lions make a positive impact in Hoagland and the surrounding area for many years.

The Heritage Lions motto is “We Serve” and we welcome anyone who wishes to help their local community to contact a Heritage Lion.
