With the excitement of the Paulding Exempted Character Academy (PECA) Oakwood building nearing completion in the air, PECA held the groundbreaking ceremony for the PECA Paulding Building.
Monday morning June 11th, PECA held a Groundbreaking Ceremony at the Paulding site (327 East Caroline Street Paulding, Ohio) which was attended by the PECA Board, LifeWise Paulding Exempted Staff, Volunteers, and Students, Paulding Exempted Village Schools Administration, Hartzog Lumber and Supply LLC, Dangler Excavating and Paulding Community Members. The ceremony started with Jeff Clark, Blane Fickel, Jayson Dangler, Travis McGarvey, Richard Kipp, Kevin Stahl, Traci Koenig, and Kelly Pracht turning over the first shovels of dirt signifying the official beginning of the construction of the PECA Paulding Building.
During the Groundbreaking Ceremony Kevin Stahl, PECA Board President, shared a few words about the project and his thankfulness for the support and donations of the Paulding Community that are making the building possible. PECA is very grateful to Robert and Gretchen Noneman who donated the land for the building. Travis McGarvey, PECA Building Committee Chairman, shared that Dangler Excavating is donating the site work for the project, Tri County Roofing is donating the roof and installation, and Hartzog Lumber and Supply LLC will be the general contractor. Then Traci Koenig, LifeWise Paulding Exempted Director, expressed her excitement about the impact that LifeWise is having on the life of the 1,145 students that attend LifeWise in Paulding County, almost 400 of those students will attend LifeWise in the new PECA Paulding Building. Jayson Dangler, Dangler Excavating LLC, said that he plans to begin site work later this week if the weather cooperates. Jeff Clark, Hartzog Lumber and Supply LLC, told attendees that based on his experience building the Caring & Sharing Food Pantry, he expects construction time to be 6 months, once all permits are received.
The Paulding Exempted Character Academy and LifeWise Paulding Exempted are excited to partner together to share the gospel with the students of Paulding Exempted Village Schools.
