Missouri Road Rage Suspect Apprehended

Antwerp, OH – On Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 4:08 P.M., officials with the Allen County, Indiana Sheriff’s Department and Indiana State Police stopped a commercial vehicle on US 24 just east of the Ohio/Indiana State Line. Apparently, authorities were assisting law enforcement from Jasper County, Missouri who was tracking the commercial vehicle driven by an alleged suspect in a road rage incident. 

Once deputies from the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and troopers from the Ohio State Highway patrol arrived at the traffic stop, Indiana law enforcement already had 37-year-old Jeremiah Jerome Nix from Greenville, Mississippi detained. Communication continued with authorities from Jasper County. An arrest warrant was sent to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office for the arrest of Nix for one count of Unlawful Use of Weapon – Shooting from a Motor Vehicle at a Person, and one count of Assault.

At the time of this press release, Nix is being booked in the Paulding County Jail on the criminal charges out of Missouri. There are no local charges on Nix. He will face an extradition hearing at a date & time that has yet to be determined.
