10 Year Anniversary Celebration to include John Schmidt & Fireworks at the CCCOH

The Christian Community Center of Harlan is celebrating 10 years in the Community Center. In appreciation to the East Allen County Community, they are doing several things to show and share appreciation.

The biggest of them will be on July 3rd at 6:00 PM!!! It will begin by having an open house from 6:00-8:00 PM for the community to come and tour the building. Many people, with a lot of memories and nostalgia, have been wanting to come and see the building again where their elementary days of school were held. Everyone is welcome to come and the areas that will be open.

In conjunction with the open house, there will be a whole hog roast and fantastic dinner served – while supplies last.

Interspersed throughout the grounds will be games of all kinds: volleyball, cornhole, and others for adults and children alike.

At 7:30 PM, John Schmidt from Amish Country in Holmes County, Ohio will be here to present a concert for the evening. John Schmidt has been dubbed the Dutch Johnny Cash, as he sings a lot of songs in Dutch, as well as singing Gospel and folk style music. John Schmidt has been a favorite in the local community, having sung at Grabill Country Fair, and other community events in the area the past several years.

As darkness approaches, there will be a splendid fireworks display, hosted for this very event. After the singing of the National Anthem, The Myers Family will unleash their volley of fireworks for the evening. Great appreciation is extended to them for their kindness.

All the community is invited to come and enjoy the evening together! Bring your lawn chairs and find a great place to sit.

Parking will be available for buggies and cars alike!

In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the gymnasium.
