Last Friday at Attica Raceway Park the 3 most dominant drivers so far in 2024 at the speedway, each waved the checkered flags again after their features. In UMP Dirt Late Model action. Mike Bores led the first 14 laps of the 25-lap Late Model feature before Rusty Schlenk drove into the lead following a very spirited battle with Casey Noonan, Kyle Moore and Devin Shiels. Schlenk pulled away for his fifth win of the season and the 43rd of his career at Attica. Bores, Moore, Noonan and Shiels rounded out the top five. Cap Henry kept his momentum rolling from his Ohio Sprint Speedweek championship, taking his third 410 win of the year Friday, June 21 at Attica Raceway Park and picking up the $4000.00 prize. The victory was Henry’s 5th total win of 2024 and puts him back into contention to defend his Attica track championship. Henry now holds 19 career 410 wins at Attica Raceway Park. It wasn’t an easy win. Henry had to fight for it. Behind the winner was 4 top 410 Sprint drivers, 2nd Kasey Jedrzejek, 3rd Cale Thomas, 4th Tyler Street, and 5th Zeth Sabo. Defending Attica Fremont Fence 305 Sprints champion Jamie Miller continued his dominance last Friday, taking the lead from Jimmy McGrath on lap 10 and driving away to his fifth win of the year and 43rd of his career at the track. Miller’s win will also pad his lead in the point standings. Finishing behind Miller was Jimmy McGrath Jr., Dustin Stroup, Steve Rando and Logan Riehl.

Shawn Valenti #7b battles Jamie Miller

Many of the same drivers faced each other at Fremont Speedway on Saturday night but with different results in the 410 and 305 Sprint classes. In the 410 Sprint feature, with $4500.00 on the line, Zeth Sabo led laps 1-26 with Kalib Henry narrowly leading lap 27 and Sabo leading the final three circuits. It was a close race and when the dust settled Sabo stood in victory lane with Cale Thomas moving up to 2nd and Kalib Henry dropped back to 4th, followed DJ Foos and Trey Jacobs. The 25 lap Fremont 305 Sprint feature finish was also exciting. Two cautions late in the race made it very interesting for Logan Riehl. The Clyde, Ohio driver led all 25 laps, but he and Jamie Miller raced side by side for several laps until Paul Weaver took second on lap 21. Just as the white flag was flying a caution flew. On the ensuing restart Weaver contacted an infield tire, ending his run. When the green flew it was Jimmy McGrath and Miller who battled Riehl. The drag race to the checkers saw Riehl claim his first ever Fremont win over Miller, McGrath, Zack Kramer and Brandon Moore. In a caution-filled 20 lap Dirt Truck feature, Shawn Valenti, a 4 time Fremont track champion, survived to claim his second win of the year and 76th career victory at Fremont, tying him with the legendary Art Ball for second on the track’s all-time win list. Rounding out the top 5 was Jamie Miller, Dan Hennig, Dave Golembiewski, and Bradley Stuckey.
