FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Northeast Indiana Water Trails invites the public to Promenade Park on July 20th, 2024, for their 9th annual Three Rivers Federal Credit Union: Pedal, Paddle, Play event. Participants will pedal or paddle on the trails to complete a family-friendly scavenger hunt and earn chances to win prizes.
Northeast Indiana Water Trails (NEIWT) is a 501©3 with the mission to increase recreation opportunities on the 566 miles of waterways in Northeast Indiana by promoting boat access, water safety, and stewardship and developing regional water trails that will empower our citizens to become more active and unified in our water resources. Proceeds from Pedal, Paddle, Play support NEIWT’s water trail signage program to provide river users with details about the water trails, water safety and stewardship, fishing, local history and more.
Starting at Promenade Park, participants will take off by boat or bike on their quest to find answers to the scavenger hunt and earn tickets to enter the prize drawing. Registration includes an event t-shirt, scavenger hunt map, and awesome SWAG provided by our sponsors. The after party takes place from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 a.m. at Promenade Park and is free for the public to enjoy. There will be live music by JJ and McRae, cold beverages supplied by Teds @ Promenade, and vendors sharing information about environmental stewardship and outdoor recreation in NE Indiana.
