Mercy Health is pleased to announce the expansion of its Mercy Health – Henry County Family Medicine team with the addition of Alex Altman, MD.
Dr. Altman will join Dr. Anna McMaster, and certified nurse practitioner Lisa Thornton, to deliver personal, high-quality care for patients of all ages and all stages of life. He began seeing patients August 5.
“Being a physician allows me to be an active participant in the special physician-patient relationship as well as use my skills and medical knowledge to assist patients in improving their overall health,” Dr. Altman said. “I am grateful for the patients that have allowed me into their lives in this unique way and commit to continually provide the type of care that makes patients feel heard, valued, and respected.”
Dr. Altman received his medical degree from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences and completed his residency locally at Mercy Health – St. Luke’s Family Medicine Residency. He was born and raised in Henry County and is pleased to return to his hometown to care for patients.
“I was a patient of Henry County Family Medicine as a child and young adult and am excited for the full circle opportunity to now be working in this practice,” Dr. Altman said.
