Panthers cruise to win over Eagles

The Paulding defense posted its second consecutive shutout as the Panthers flew past visiting North Central 58-0 in high school football action at Keysor Field Friday night.

Colton Bashore led a strong defensive effort for the Panthers with ten tackles while Jack Woods and Jalen Manz both chipped in a quartet of stops.

Allan Griffiths and Carter Evans each chipped in a trio of tackles as well for Paulding, which limited the Eagles to 31 passing yards and a negative 75 rushing yards.

Paulding, meanwhile, racked up 294 yards of offense in all with 173 coming via the air attack as Colten Hunt completed 14 of 26 passes.

Jordan Manz had seven receptions for 63 yards with one score while Blake Rhonehouse posted five catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Jalen Manz added one reception for six yards and Jackson Griffith picked up one catch for three yards.

Avery Cooper led the Panther rushing attack with 11 carries for 80 yards and two touchdowns while Jalen Manz added three attempts for 20 yards.
