Paulding County Republican Banquet Packed to Hear Windsor

Paulding County Republican Women are pictured above with Keynote speaker of the evening, Jack Windsor (3rd from left).

The Republican Banquet was filled on Thursday, September 12 at the OSU Extension. Dinner started with the boy scout color guard bringing the flags forward, the pledge, then followed by the prayer by Stan Harmon.

Dinner followed the invocation with a delicious meal by Grant’s Catering of Antwerp.

The people were excited to hear from the main speaker, but before that guests were filled with honor as they presented all of the Veterans for their sacrifice for all of us.

Republican chair Laurie Lucas opened the meeting with introducing Representative Roy Klopfenstein who then discussed the local officials running for office and several new candidates for office including: Sarah Harpel for Clerk of Courts; Sarah Shuherk Candidate for County Recorder; and Scott Strahley for County Engineer.

Roy Klopfenstein then introduced Robert Sprague, Treasure of State. The discussed the problem with so much foreign money funding state issues to sway the elections for out of state interests. Sprague spoke as Treasurer to reelect Donald Trump. He also mentioned the ongoing troubles occurring in Springfield, OH.

State Rep Jim Hoops spoke on the aspects of why it’s important to vote on the ballot for the Republican Slate. State Rep Angie King spoke up about being from Paulding – born raised and graduated. She talked about her willingness and freedom to run and the importance of protecting our liberties.

Senator Rob McColley stated that he has three representatives in his district which should make him president of the Senate next year. McColley also spoke on Issue 1 and how it’s so important that it is voted down for both parties. Issue one will put an unlimited budget to force gerrymandering against the will of the people in an anti-democratic way.

Judge Dan Hawkins Supreme Court Justice spoke about keeping the state supreme court conservative through the voting process. Sheriff Jason Landers spoke next. He had just returned from Columbus. He recently highlighted crimes that are happening, and one was just outside of Cecil where a group of legal migrants had quickly and systematically disassembled the ATM machine and stole the cash contents. The deputy responded and was there within 6 minutes of the alarm being triggered but the theft had already taken place and the criminals had fled. The crime was caught on camera and astounded Landers by their precision and speed.

Headline speaker, Jack Windsor, followed Sprague. His topic was about the United States and Ohio have been captured by dark money. The will of the people has been completely removed. He gave the example that every primary vote was thrown out with Harris being automatically placed in as the candidate when Biden’s numbers were looking bad.

There is time to make change but it is hard, especially after seeing how the small blue islands in Ohio can still dictate how the rural areas will abide by their rules.
