MARION – Antwerp and Woodlan’s cross country teams each made the long trip to Marion, Indiana, Saturday for the Marion Invitational held by Indiana Wesleyan University.
The Warrior girls posted a sixth-place finish while the Archers took eighth and Woodlan’s boys recorded a 12th place finish with Antwerp taking 22nd.
Katy Niles led the Lady Warriors with a fourth-place finish individually in a time of 19:44.80 with Antwerp’s Leigha Doster taking 16th in 21:45.90.
Layla Hodson (29th, 22:49.00), Lenae Lothamer (40th, 23:14.60), Brooklyn Hetrick (65th, 24:41.20), Viv Cook (66th, 24:43.40), Bethany Lockridge (70th, 24:56.40), Jordyn Kline (80th, 25:42.90) and Alexis Smith (94th, 27:14.60) completed the list of Woodlan finishers.
Other Antwerp runners were Gabriella Snyder (42nd, 23:27.20), Emily Laker (43rd, 23:29.50), Alia Clem (55th, 23:58.40), Raelynne Zuber (57th, 24:01.30), Anneliese Zijlstra (75th, 25:21.20) and Elle Clem (94th, 27:02.40).
On the boys side, Jerry Troyer topped Woodlan by crossing the finish line in 17:29.70 to place 17th overall. Antwerp was led by Kamren Johnson, who was 27th with a time of 17:41.70.
Also running for the Warriors were Collin Klepper (63rd, 18:49.20), Eli Washler (71st, 19:04.80), Cooper McDaniel (84th, 19:21.30), Cruz Lipscomb (98th, 19:40.10), Xander Doerr (106th, 19:54.90), Gavin Bargo (139th, 20:42.40), Brady Schurg (183rd, 23:34.00), Ayden Detrick (186th, 23:57.50) and Robert Kimpel (207th, 27:26.00).
Antwerp finishers included Bryceton Barker (120th, 20:14.30), Gage Barker (127th, 20:23.90), Aiden Hook (135th, 20:39.10), Isaac Buhrer (149th, 21:11.30), Tucker Doster (158th, 21:37.10), Camden Herber (178th, 23:01.10) and Levi Shelton (204th, 26:44.30).
