HUBER OPERA HOUSE PRESENTS LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

The Huber Opera House proudly announces the production of Little Shop of Horrors on October 11, 12, & 13. Show time is 7:00 on Friday and Saturday, with a dinner option offered at 6:00. Sunday’s performance will be a 2:30 matinee.

The meek flower shop assistant Seymour (played by Sean Carpenter) pines for co-worker Audrey (Brooke Ward). During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II (voice by Rowan Murphy & Puppeteer James Greer), which feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store owed by Mushkin (Peter Greer). After Seymour feeds Audrey’s boyfriend, Orin (Ryan Hunt, Jr.), to the plant after Orin’s accidental death, he must come up with more bodies for the increasingly bloodthirsty plant.

A trio of street urchins (Triniti McFarland, Brooke Schooley, & Summer Schooley) along with other colorful characters from the ensemble provide commentary and vocal numbers to add to the unique theme of this show. Ensemble members include Aria Clem, Dani Frame, Leah Garmater, Titus Garmater, Jordan Hammersmith, Travis Heffelfinger, and Trey McFarland.

This deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. The Huber is offering a dinner & show option for this production with Grant’s catering providing the dinner buffet.
