First Presbyterian Church (EPC) in Paulding OH is hosting its 42nd Annual Women’s Retreat, “Praising God Through Music: Together Again”, on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 9 am until 1:30 pm. Doors open at 8:30 am. The church is located at the corner of Caroline and Cherry Streets in Paulding, one block from the courthouse square.
This year’s retreat features two incredible musicians, Susan Crossland and Susan Kayser. These ladies have both supported the Presbyterian Women’s Retreat with organ and piano music many, many times. This year, they will be the focus of the retreat! We can’t wait!! They will each be sharing their Christian faith by both speaking and by playing, individually and then with spectacular piano/organ duets.
Susan Crossland, a lifelong Paulding resident, has been the organist at Paulding First Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. She will be sharing how and why God’s music has remained a priority in her life for so many years, as well as some of the history of the church’s century-old pipe organ.
Susan Kayser shares her musical talents with her church in Findlay, Ohio. Playing for the Lord has been her passion for years, and she and Susan Crossland have performed together many times. She has played piano for this retreat for each and every one of its 42 years.
It will be an incredible blessing to hear from these two women as they share their faith, both in word and in music.
Brunch will be served by the men from the Presbyterian Church, and there will be rich fellowship with other Christian women. While the retreat ends at 1:30 pm, ladies are welcome and encouraged to linger and visit as long as they wish.
Nursery care is available for children from infants through age 4. Be sure to mention this need when you register so we are adequately staffed. You are asked to bring a sack lunch for your child.
Pre-registration is preferred by Sunday, October 13, 2024.
Registrations can be made by mail to the church office (PO Box 366, Paulding OH 45879); or by calling 419-399-2438 (church office). Ladies are encouraged to call or text retreat coordinators Barb (419-769-0327) or Susan Paulus (419-439-0032) with any questions.
