Copsey speaks to Kiwanis

 The Kiwanis Club of Paulding County was privileged to have Tim Copsey, Director (Paulding County Economic Development, Paulding, Ohio)as the guest speaker at the October 31, 2024, club meeting. 

Tim came at the invitation of John Daeger (Paulding VFW Post 587, Commander and Fellow Kiwanian).Tim spoke to the Kiwanians about the many benefits of Land Banks in Paulding County Ohio and how they help convert properties into assets that revitalize communities.Land banks are public or community-owned entities that operate within a specific geographic area. 

They have unique powers that vary by state, but generally include the ability to: acquire tax-foreclosed property, sell property to a responsible buyer or developer, extinguish liens and clear title, and hold property tax exempt. The Paulding Economic Development has helped purchase and revitalize many properties throughout the county.
