On November 14th, the Paulding FFA Aquarium Management team, consisting of senior Grace Goyings, juniors Jacob Harris, Addi Pease, and sophomores Megan Manz, Remington Boroff, Jayla Griffith, Avery Cooper, Olivia Breier, and Darcy Taylor, competed at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in the State Aquarium CDE.
The members had to identify different types of freshwater and saltwater fish, aquarium equipment, take a written test, and complete practicums on aquarium care. This year’s practicums included siphoning a tank and testing pH.
The team placed 9th in the state of Ohio and the team will receive a plaque at the State FFA Convention in May. The top placer was Remington Boroff scoring 14th out of 200 individuals. The Paulding FFA would like to congratulate this team for all of their hard work and a special thanks to former FFA member Carter Manz for coming in and helping the team prepare. We are so thankful for our community support of the FFA Chapter.
