PAULDING, OH:
Charles B. “Topper” Holtsberry, age 83, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 at his residence.
Topper was born on January 2, 1941 in Hedges, OH to the late Russell and Alice (Miller) Holtsberry. On May 14, 1960 he married his wife, Rae Bland who survives. Topper was born, lived his entire life and passed away in Hedges, OH.
Topper retired from the shipping department at B.F. Goodrich, Woodburn, IN after 33 years of service. After retirement from B.F. Goodrich, he also worked at Cooper’s Hatchery, Baughman Tile, Haviland Tile and worked in maintenance for Jackson Township for 14 years. He would later go on to serve three years as a Jackson Township Trustee. Topper attended the Paulding Church of the Nazarene.
Along with his loving wife, Rae, Topper is survived by his sons, Tim (Deb) Holtsberry, Defiance, OH and Jeff “Hoss” (Kathy) Holtsberry, Mark Center, OH; daughters, Stacy (Steve) Krutsch, Oakwood, OH and Jodi (Don) Kesler, Jacksonville, FL; brother Rodger (Rose) Holtsberry, Paulding, OH; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Topper was also preceded in death by his siblings, Russell “Jack” Holtsberry, John “Delmar” Holtsberry, Justus Holtsberry, JoAnn Holtsberry, Iona Dysinger and Deloris Yoh.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding, OH with Pastor Jeremy Thompson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Hedges Cemetery, Jackson Township.
Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
