Dear Lord, you are our delivered. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us…but we need your strength to take the first step. We need your help. Please help us. Please give us a strong desire to change. We ask that you remove all negative outside influences that hinder us. We ask in Jesus’s name that you bind the enemy and surround us with legions of warring angels to protect and shield us from the sin and temptation that so easily besets us, and waits to drag us down. Lord, I ask that you remove the pain in our lives caused by sin and past hurts. Please overthrow our will and our propensity for evil. For once and for all, please cleanse us so we can be the person you’ve called us to be. Free us from the bondage of sin. We ask for healing in families torn apart by addiction. We ask for protection for the children who are in harm’s way because of their loved one’s addictions. Please pour out your grace, mercy, and healing power on each person affected by someone else’s addiction. Lord, you were born this Christmas season to set the captives free. Thank you, Lord, for setting us free and breaking every chain. May our lives be changed forever. Thank you for this Christmas miracle. In Jesus’ name Amen. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
