Antwerp Wrestling Teams Shine in Weekend Tournaments

Zac Salas – 1st in 144lb weight class.

The Antwerp Wrestling teams had a busy and successful weekend competing in multiple tournaments, with the high school boys, girls, and junior high boys showcasing their skills and determination.

Kamren Johnson _ 1st in 132lb weight class

At the Lincolnview Invitational, the Antwerp High School boys team placed fourth overall. Leading the team, Kamren Johnson at 132 pounds delivered an outstanding performance, finishing with a 3-0 record and three pins to secure first place. Zac Salas also impressed at 144 pounds, going undefeated with a 5-0 record and one pin to claim first place in his weight class. Skyler Octaviano had a strong showing at 157 pounds, posting a 4-1 record with three pins and earning second place. Other notable performances came from Gage Clevinger at 150 pounds, who finished with a 4-1 record and three pins to take fifth place, and Jarod Traxler at 285 pounds, who placed fourth with a 2-2 record and two pins. Dominic Laker, Braxton Peters, and Griffin Kosch each contributed solid efforts, demonstrating the team’s overall competitiveness.

Maddilan Doster – 1st in 170lb weight class.

The High School and Junior High Girls teams traveled to Archbold for the Bluestreak Brawl. Junior High wrestler Mary Adams excelled at 134 pounds, finishing with a perfect 3-0 record and three pins. In the High School division, Maddilan Doster dominated at 170 pounds, earning a 3-0 record with three pins to secure first place.

The Antwerp Junior High boys competed at the Bryan Invitational, where Braxtyn Bauer at 122 pounds stood out with a 3-1 record, including two pins, to claim third place.

Mary Adams – 1st in 134lb weight class

With strong performances across all levels, Antwerp Wrestling continues to build momentum for the season. Their efforts this weekend reflect the hard work and determination of both the athletes and their coaches.
