Mary Irene Culler

Mary Irene Culler, 90, of Antwerp, Ohio was called to her heavenly home Sunday, January 12, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family. 

Mary was born on September 22, 1934 in Antwerp to the late Ruth Elizabeth (Clemmer) and Thomas Carr Schilb and was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Paul Edward Culler and her younger sister, Jane Lucille Poth. 

She is survived by her five children, Mike (Jonne) Culler, Susan (Anthony) Marlin both of Antwerp, Diane (Ron) Conner of Mineral City, Ohio, Ruth (Dennis) Grobis of Auburn, Indiana and Julie (Todd) Harmon of Paulding, Ohio. Mary leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Walter Thomas Schilb.

Mary started playing piano and organ at an early age and spent her life blessing others with her music at churches and at home. She enjoyed teaching and directing many children’s choirs throughout her life. She worked as an administrative secretary in the marketing department of Parkview Hospital and also kept books for her husband’s construction business. Mary lived out her Christian faith daily through her generosity of time and talents. A comfort to many and a joy to all, most of her time was spent taking care of and supporting her family, her friends, and her community. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and kindness.

Viewing is Wednesday, January 15th, 4 to 7 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp. 

Her funeral Service is Thursday, January 16th, 10:30 am, with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.

Mary will be laid to rest in Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
