DEFIANCE TO HOLD 16TH ANNUAL MARCH FOR LIFE

The 16* annual March for life will be held January 22nd at 12:00 Noon at Triangle Park in downtown Defiance. The march is sponsored by Mother Teresa Respect for Life. The purpose of the march is for participants to walk and stand up for unborn children who cannot speak for themselves. The march will start with prayer with Father Dan Borgelt, from St Marys Catholic Church Edgerton. A police escort will lead participants from Triangle Park to the Monument of the unborn near St. John’s Catholic Church. Jamie Blank will host the march and Father Borgelt will lead in prayer at the monument. From there the event moves to the basement of St. John’s where Colleen Hammons, whose parents are the late Dale and Madonna Hammons, will talk about being positive in the pro life movement.

Abigail Martinez who is a survivor of abuse but now is a realtor and works for Project Respect through CPC will talk about how all children are wanted and loved and about making the decision to adopt through God. Edgerton St. Mary Catholic School students will give a presentation for pro life.

Craig Reidel served State Representative 3 terms, he will talk about his family history and how it shaped their family’s pro-life views. He will also speak about legislation he has been involved in.

Peter Range, who is husband and father of 4 children, is passionate for ending abortion and restoring our broken culture, will speak on the dignity of every life and to fight for the first foundations right to life.

Names of babies who have been lost will be listed and read. Father Borgelt will end with prayer. Hot chocolate will be offered.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for life will be offered at Holy Cross Catholic School at 9:30 a.m. that day. Thank you, God Bless You!
